Since September 2021, after the delivery of agricultural tools to improve the agricultural sector, Pafev South Kivu has proceeded with the establishment and technical monitoring of two farmer field schools (FFS) for the women of Kamisimbi in Walungu territory and the women of Nyakalengwa in Idjwi territory.
KAMISIMBI FIELDS IN WALUNGU TERRITORY
Size 15m by 25m. Quantity of potatoes sown: 12kg out of 20 purchased. Quantity harvested: 147 kg, quantity sold: 100kg, money earned 50 dollars available in the cash box. Of the remaining 47kg, the members sowed another 15kg in the school field and the rest was shared between them.
NYAKALENGWA FIELDS IN IDJWI TERRITORY
Size 42.4m by 29m. Quantity of aubergine plants sown: 500 plants purchased, quantity harvested: 30kg, quantity sold: 20kg, money earned: 30 dollars available in cash. Of the remaining 10kg shared between them.
